For display in this version, “business days” reads “working days” (the meaning is the same); apostrophes are shown in typographic form. The wording is otherwise exactly as published. The SHA-256 above is of the text as published.
What changed: Wording only: our name is now written SynCore, as in our official documents. Nothing else has changed.
These terms add to our Terms of Service and apply to SynCore Cloud.
1. What a cloud is
A cloud is private file storage for your organisation. Only signed-in members of your organisation can open it. We don’t publish lists of files and we don’t offer public file hosting.
2. Requesting a cloud
You order a cloud from your account and choose a plan. We run our account checks on every order. When they are complete, the cloud is switched on automatically: a free cloud straight away, and a paid cloud once your payment arrives. Some orders are reviewed by our team first; we normally complete a review within one working day, and we may ask you for more information or refuse an order.
3. Quota
Each plan has a storage quota. When you reach it, new uploads are refused until you free space or move to a larger plan. Files already stored are not affected. We never charge for extra space without asking you first.
4. Trash
Deleted files go to the trash and can be restored for 30 days. After that they are permanently deleted and can’t be recovered.
5. Share links
You can share a single file with people outside your organisation using a share link. Links:
- expire after the period you choose, up to 90 days;
- can need a password;
- can be revoked by you at any time.
There is no monthly cap on downloads through share links, but fair use applies (see the Acceptable Use Policy).
You are responsible for who you share links with. We may revoke links that break the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Getting your data out
You can download files and folders (as ZIP files) at any time. When a cloud is closed, it becomes read-only for at least 30 days so you can download what you need. After that we may delete its files, and we tell you before we do. Our database backups hold account and billing records and file names, not the contents of your files.
7. Unpaid invoices
If an invoice for a cloud stays unpaid after our reminders, we may make the cloud read-only. You can still open and download your files; uploads and new share links are paused until the invoice is paid.
8. Changing plan
You can move to a larger plan at any time. It applies at once, and the difference for the rest of the current period is invoiced. A move to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
